To schedule, draft, or manage your social content, access the Publisher tab. With the crystal Publisher you can schedule content to publish at the most effective time for your multiple channels using a custom scheduler, or using the Smart Scheduler feature.
The publisher currently supports Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube content.
Creating Content to Publish
To create a post and schedule it to publish on your social channels, select the social media icons corresponding to the channels where you want to post the content. For super time saving, go multichannel. For total freedom and customization, publish separately on each channel.
Please note that the content will publish to the channels that are connected to your currently selected brand in crystal. If you’re managing multiple brands in crystal, make sure you have a specific brand selected before using the Publisher.
Once you’ve selected the channels, add a content title and text into the corresponding area of the page. The title will appear on your content if you’re publishing on LinkedIn and YouTube, while it will only appear on your content list in crystal if you’re publishing on Facebook and Twitter. You can also add links in the text body of the content.
To add a photo or video to the post, press the plus button, then select the file from the dropdown form. Any sizing or file type limit determined by the channel to which your publishing will appear in case you’ve selected an unsupported file type or a file that is too large.
Now, you can either save the post to be published later by pressing the Save Draft button, or publish it immediately on the selected social channels by pressing the Publish button. If you save it as a draft, you can find it in the Your Content tab along with the rest of your scheduled and published content.
If any errors occur that prevent you from publishing your post, you can view them by pressing the Check Errors item that will appear on the right side of the page.
To schedule your post to be published at a later time, press the Schedule button, then select whether you want to use the Suggested Schedule or Custom Schedule. The Suggested Schedule find the best time for you to schedule content, while the Custom Schedule allows you to manually select the time and date of publication.
Using the Smart Scheduler
To take advantage of crystal’s AI calculating your brand’s personal engagement data and finding the best time to schedule your content, press the Schedule button in the Publisher tab once you’ve created the content, then press the Suggested Schedule option from the dropdown menu.
Now, select whether you want to use Smart Mode or Genius Mode:
- Smart Mode. You choose the schedule day, then crystal picks the most effective time to publish the content.
- Genius Mode. Let crystal schedule your content to be published on the most effective date and time.
For Smart Mode, select the date for which you would like to publish using the calendar, then press Next. crystal will show the suggested time to publish for the selected day. To schedule the post, press Schedule. To select a different date, press the Back item.
For Genius Mode, simply press that option. crystal will then show you the suggested date and time to publish. Press Schedule to continue, or Back if you don’t want to schedule the post for this date and time.
Using the Custom Scheduler
To manually select a time and date for publication, press the Schedule button in the Publisher tab once you’ve created the content, then press the Custom Schedule option from the dropdown menu.
Then, in the pop up box, select the date and time of publication on the calendar. When finished, press Schedule. The content is now scheduled (yep, it’s that easy!)
Viewing Your Calendar
To take a look at a calendar view of your scheduled content, access the Calendar tab in the Publisher area of crystal. The calendar displays the current month by default, but you can flip between months using the arrows at the top of the page.
Select a date on the calendar to view the content you’ve scheduled for that date. Dates with scheduled content are marked with a purple dot. Each scheduled post for the selected date will appear to the right of the calendar, where content is divided by its drafted, published, or scheduled status.
For each content, you can press the More item to view details about the post.
Viewing Your Content List
To view all of your content in list form, access the Your Content tab in the Publisher area of crystal. Here, you will find a full list of all drafted, published, or scheduled social content that you’ve created in crystal. Use the dropdown menus on the top of the page to view content with a specific status or that is set to publish on a specific channel.
Each piece of content will display the content details, author, status (drafted, published, or scheduled), and the channels to which the content will be published. Press the Show More button in the content’s row to view more information about it.
You will then be directed to a list dedicated to that content post, with a row for each piece of content for each social channel. To delete the content from just one social channel, press the Delete item in the content’s row.
You can delete the entire group of content for each social channel by pressing the Delete Group button at the bottom of the page. Likewise, to edit the entire post for all social channels, press the Edit Group button.
